Nora Disis

UW Medicine's Tumor Vaccine Group holds its third annual open house Thursday, November 5, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the South Lake Union complex.

Dr. Mary "Nora" Disis, UW professor of medicine and oncology and founder of the group, will discuss the latest research and also talk about the "bench to bedside" approach to work.

Lab tours will be conducted at 5:30 and 8 p.m., and a panel discussion -- including Disis, Dr. Lupe Salazar, UW assistant professor of medicine and oncology, and tumor vaccine patients taking part in clinical trials -- will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Visit the group's web site to learn more about the event and research efforts. You may also call 206-543-8557 for more details. This event is open to the public.
