Exhibit of emerging architectural ideas offers 'glimpse of future'

Lloyd Crossing Sustainable Urban Design Plan, a multidisciplinary Portland project whose team was led by Seattle architect Bert Gregory of Mithun, is one of the 100 displays by Western Washington design professionals of their projects that are in the works or under construction.


WHAT: "Headlines: Emerging Architectural Ideas." A first-ever exhibit of designs that collectively show "what's about to happen" in the built environment of the region's cities and towns.

WHO: 100 Western Washington architects

WHEN: April 15-24

(Opening reception 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on April 15. Other viewing hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday)

WHERE: UW College of Architecture and Urban Planning, Gould Hall, 3949 15th Ave. N.E., Seattle

DETAILS: One hundred drawings and models of residences, community plans, commercial buildings and public spaces commissioned or under construction will be on display for 10 days in a first-of-its-kind exhibit sponsored by the Professionals' Advisory Council of the Department of Architecture. The show will give the public, as well as designers and students, an advance look at trends shaping the region's built environment.
